FY 2014 Evaluation of SBA's Progress in Reducing Improper Payments
This review focuses on the Commission's efforts to conduct the required risk assessments of its programs/susceptibility to improper payments and its reporting, as required by OMB Circular A-123. The objective was to review the accuracy and completeness of the Commission's reporting, as well as agency performance in reducing and recapturing improper payments, if applicable.
Verification Review of BLM's Oil and Gas I&E Program (Verification Review of Recommendations for the Evaluation Titled “Bureau of Land Management’s Oil and Gas Inspection and Enforcement Program” (CR-EV-BLM-0001-2009)
We found that the Department did not comply with IPERA for FY 2014 because it reported an improper payment rate that did not meet its reduction target for the Direct Loan program; its improper payment estimates and estimation methodologies were inaccurate, incomplete, and unreliable; and its improper payment reporting was incomplete.
