NGA OIG Fall Semiannual Report to Congress, 1 April - 30 September 2024

This is a summary of GPO OIG Report number 25-01 .The full report was provided to GPO leadership and congressional committees of jurisdiction. However, the report contains sensitive information about GPO’s Security Program and potential vulnerabilities prohibiting public release.

The OIG inspection team inspected Plant Operations processes and procedures used to measure performance. Specifically, the OIG:1. Identified what metrics Plant Operations uses.2. Determined how Plant Operations incorporates identifying and reporting metrics into its processes and procedures.

The Office of the Inspector General conducted an audit of the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s (GPO) management ofexcess and obsolete paper and secure documents. Our objective was to determine if management uses effective processes toaccount for, store, and destroy secure intelligent documents and products. The audit focused on U.S. passport production.

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) reviewed GPO’s compliance with the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Actanti-gag provisions.

The Office of the Inspector General conducted an audit of the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Telework Program.Our objective was to determine if management has effective controls over the telework program, and if there are opportunities for cost savings and improvements to the telework program.

The OIG inspection team sought tounderstand how the U.S. GovernmentPublishing Office (GPO) maintainsindoor air quality (IAQ) at the CentralComplex Buildings in Washington, DC.
