
The USAID Office of the Inspector General (OIG) Hotline accepts tips, allegations, and disclosures from all sources about potential fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement regarding programs and operations related to the agency it oversees. Most complaints fall in the following categories: • Crime, gross misconduct, or conflicts of interest involving agency or foundation employees and implementers; • Allegations involving fraud, waste, or abuse involving programs and awards; • False and/or fraudulent claims; • Kickbacks and/or inducements; • Abuse or mismanagement in programs and awards; • Misuse of government equipment, time, and position; • Contract or grant fraud; • Sexual exploitation and abuse; • Embezzlement Employees of USAID, MCC, USADF, IAF and their contractors, subcontractors and grantees can perform an important service by reporting what they reasonably believe to be evidence of wrongdoing, and they should never be subjected to or threatened with reprisal for doing so. Complaints not addressed through the USAID OIG Hotline include: • Allegations by USAID implementers of discrimination on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual preference (please contact your organization’s Equal Employment Opportunity Officer) • Employees performance issues.
