Comply with the PBNDS 2011 staff-detainee communication standard by: a. responding to detainee requests within the required timeframes; b. ensuring detainees have frequent opportunities for informal contact with ICE ERO field office staff, including by requiring ICE ERO to post and adhere to a visitation schedule; c. ensuring responses to detainees are in a language they can understand; d. establishing a request tracking system for paper requests to ensure timely responses, with a complete request log; and e. maintaining copies of each completed detainee request in detainees’ detention files.
