Report Description

(U) The objective of this joint audit was to determine
whether the Coast Guard implemented cybersecurity
controls to protect Coast Guard systems operating
on the Department of Defense (DoD) Information
Network (DODIN) in accordance with applicable
cybersecurity requirements. The Coast Guard
must comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements
because its systems operate on the DODIN.
The Coast Guard’s roles and responsibilities for
operating its systems on the DODIN are set forth in
a series of memorandums between the DoD and the
Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
