The Commissioner, Wage and Investment Division, should modify the Real-Time System (RTS) to enable employees to record the actions taken on loose or undeliverable documents, including the date the documents were returned and the mail tracking number or the date the document was destroyed, so that all Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) Program employees have access to this information when assisting applicants who contact the IRS asking about their documents.
