We recommend the Assistant Secretary for Mine Safety and Health: Simplify the design of the supervisory checklists by revising compound questions into simple questions answerable by a single response (yes, no, or not applicable) and provide refresher training on the quantity completion requirements, how to properly complete and review the checklist, and the importance of providing feedback using the checklist.
