We recommend that the Director of the OCFO’s PAG require ESE to ensure that management decision letters meet regulatory requirements such as clearly stating whether ESE sustains the auditor’s finding, timely issuance, and communicating appropriate corrective actions the LEA must take. ESE should also establish a timeframe for LEAs to complete corrective actions.
