Greenbelt, Maryland – A federal criminal complaint has been filed charging Jerry Phillips, age 24, of Temple Hills, Maryland, for the federal charges of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft; and Jaleel Phillips, age 24, of Temple Hills, Maryland, for wire fraud, in relation to an alleged scheme to unlawfully obtain COVID-19 relief loans and unemployment benefits.

ALBANY, NEW YORK – Jamie Johnson, age 36, of Albany, pled guilty today to conspiring to commit mail fraud and aggravated identity theft. Johnson admitted to filing false unemployment insurance applications online with the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) in order to fraudulently obtain $701,441 in benefits issued in the names of other people.

Dr. Mark Stephen Wilson agreed to pay the United States $342,750 to resolve False Claims Act allegations that he accepted illegal kickback payments from Brookhaven Specialty Pharmacy LLC, announced U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. Wilson is an orthopedic surgeon in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and focuses on pain management and rehabilitation.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Bobby Peña, 46, of Albuquerque, pleaded guilty on Feb. 10 in federal court to possession of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and false claims against the government. A federal grand jury indicted Peña on Oct. 9, 2019.

HARRISBURG - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Rodney L. Yentzer, age 52, of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania was charged in a criminal information with one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, and one count of theft of public money for defrauding Medicare and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services between 2016 and 2020.

BOSTON – The U.S. Attorney’s Office has reached a $100,000 settlement with Brockton Urology Clinic LLC (Brockton Urology), a physician practice located in North Easton, to resolve allegations that it violated federal health care laws resulting in false claims to Medicare.
