Appalachian Regional Commission OIG

The OIG provides leadership and coordination; recommends policies to prevent and detect fraud and abuse; and promotes economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in agency programs and operations. The inspector general also provides a means for keeping the ARC federal co-chair and Congress fully informed about problems and deficiencies at the Commission.

What to Report to the OIG Hotline: 

If you know about waste, fraud or abuse, misconduct or whistle blower reprisal relating to a Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) program, contract, grant or employee you may report it to the ARC OIG hotline. The ARC OIG has jurisdiction over disclosures involving ARC programs, contract grants and employees.

What Not to report to the OIG Hotline : 

The following matters are not generally investigated by ARC OIG:

- All emergencies
- EEO complaints - refer to ARC EEO Officer
- ARC Policy decisions unless fraud, waste or abuse is involved
