| Text of Recommendation | To ensure that USAID has the requisite performance data to monitor and evaluate whether its infrastructure projects to increase power generation and transmission from the Kajaki Dam are contributing to its strategic objectives, we recommend the USAID Mission Director for Afghanistan: Direct personnel responsible for assessing the extent to which USAID has met its strategic-level performance indicators concerning southern Afghanistan’s energy sector to adhere to ADS 201 requirements to collect and report baselines, targets, and results for each indicator, and evaluate the extent to which its projects related to the Kajaki Dam are contributing to USAID’s strategic objectives for its energy projects in Afghanistan. |
