Text of Recommendation
To determine how U.S. efforts have directly contributed to reported gains in the status of and conditions for Afghan women and to ensure that these gains are sustained beyond 2014, we also recommend that the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, and the USAID Administrator take action, and report back to SIGAR within 90 days, to: Develop a plan and timeframes for assessing each agency’s efforts to support Afghan women on an ongoing basis that accounts for the changing operational environment in Afghanistan, and implement the plan going forward.
