B.1.c: The DoD OIG recommended that the Commander of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.64, "Accountability and Management of DoD Equipment and Other Accountable Property," April 27, 2017, (Incorporating Change 3, June 10, 2019), develop procedures to conduct periodic reviews of the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's shipping containers that have an acquisition cost of $5,000 or more to ensure Surface Deployment and Distribution Command officials report information related to the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's shipping containers in an accountable property system of record.
