We recommend that the Assistant Secretary for OPE require the OPE Accreditation Group to use risk-based procedures and readily available information to identify the specific schools and an appropriate number of schools that each agency must use as evidence to demonstrate that it had effective mechanisms for evaluating a school's compliance with accreditation standards before reaching an accreditation decision.
