TOPEKA, KAN.– A federal grand jury in Topeka returned an indictment charging a Kansas woman and three Florida residents in connection with a scheme to defraud Medicare. NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A 33-count indictment was unsealed today charging four people with joining together to defraud and commit offenses against the United States, including human trafficking of individuals from Central America, benefiting from forced labor, money laundering, and various other immigration-related offenses, such as harboring undocumented non-citizens.

CINCINNATI – Federal agents arrested a former ICE deportation officer Wednesday evening on federal charges claiming he abused his position to coerce sex from victims under his supervision in the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program.   Andrew Golobic, 51, of Cincinnati and Mason, Ohio, is scheduled to appear in federal court at 1:30pm today in Cincinnati. His case was unsealed this morning.

CAMDEN, N.J. – A Burlington County, New Jersey, man who sold more than $2.7 million worth of pesticides he falsely claimed were registered with the Environmental Protection Agency as being effective against coronavirus, was sentenced today to 60 months in prison, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger and Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim of the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division announced.

HOUSTON – Three locals associated with Jesus Survives Ministries have admitted to conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud, announced U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery.  William Dexter Lucas aka Bill Lucas, 60, and Deborah Jean Lucas, 64, both of Bryan, pleaded guilty today while Brian Corpian, 45, Houston, entered his plea Dec. 2.
