Rec. 2: The DoD OIG recommended that the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, in coordination with the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, determine whether current processes should be adapted, or additional processes should be identified or developed, to provide funding for sustainment of the PATRIOT air defense systems transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Further, the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy should develop and implement new or revised processes as warranted.
